Dr Jani is an ABPN board certified psychiatrist with licenses to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, and completed medical school and residency training at Temple University. Prior to becoming a psychiatrist, she trained in surgery. She is a lifetime member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia reflecting her dedication to the field of psychiatry and medicine.

Psychiatrists are medical professionals who can prescribe medicine and are also trained in psychotherapy. They have the ability to look at not only the psychological and social dimensions of individuals but also the biological. For patients who are interested in medication, Dr Jani offers a personalized medicine approach with pharmacogenetic testing to help you take control of your health.

The biological, psychological and social perspectives help her to better understand your needs as a whole person. She has an understanding of people who are dealing with co-morbid medical illness, and can tailor psychiatric care to that. Her experience includes working with the college aged population, young professionals and middle aged individuals. She has additional training in treatment of depression, low self esteem, and identity issues.

In addition to private practice, Dr Jani works as a consultant psychiatrist at the Forensic Mental Health Associates of the First Judicial District and provides medication management for students at La Salle University.
